Status Update

Hi. This is ~Okami-Dood, Qydra's brother. It's about time I updated his status.
If you don't know why he hasn't been on DA for a while, read his journal "On Hiatus" 9-15-09

He was supposed to leave for Virginia today, but he caught the flu while at the MTC (missionary training center.) It's probably swine, since he had his flu shot, but it's not too different from the regular flu. Apparently getting sick there is pretty common, since there are lotsa people there, and many coming from and going all over the world. Other than that, he is doing well and is excited and happy to be on his mission.

Will update again soon.

I've been getting ready to leave, actually. I'm fixing to go on extended hiatus. I'm going to be a missionary in Virginia. I'm leaving the 14th and starting my mission the 16th. I meant to update my journal earlier so I wouldn't disappear so suddenly.

I love your work, and I hope you're still around when I get back. I still have a couple days before I leave, so...

I'll be here, and what kind of missionary work are you pursuing? Also, where at in Virginia? Goodness I have a lot of questions of curiosity, but do note that you will be missed. :(

When do you plan on returning?

When you get back I should have at least one new piece that you can adore, hopefully. And, while you are away try and keep me plus everyone else who is your friend on DA updating with your trip.

I'm going to teach and give service. Tell people about my church and stuff. Help people out if I see someone who needs help. I'm going to the Richmond area for two years (my mission boundaries contain all of Eastern Virginia). I can't directly keep people posted on DA, as mission rules limit internet communications to just my family, but someone back home might be able to post news every now and again. I haven't gotten their commitment, though, so I won't volunteer them until I know their answer.

On the other hand, maybe it'll be easier for him to post it on his DA journal instead of logging into mine. I'll ask Okami-dood and see what he says.

Sounds like it would be lot of fun.
I think that it is amazing that you are going on a missionary journey.
I hope you have fun on your trip and that you find someone to keep up with your journals.
